Last Friday, the original Pete’s Patriot racing crew stopped by the Classic Car Collection to celebrate with us, as this car has become a hallmark of our collection. A homecoming party was held from 6pm-9pm on this rainy, overcast evening, but the company was far from gloomy! Complete with cake and fantastic companionship, this event offered an excellent cruise through the past with members of the original racing team from Hastings and Kearney.
On Thursday, approximately 235 people checked in at the Classic Car Collection as a part of the 2017 Glidden Tour. The tour made stops in other towns such as Red Cloud, Minden, Holdrege, and stayed in Hastings. We had a blast meeting all of the different people and seeing the classic cars. In addition to stopping at the Collection, members of the tour also made a stop at the Arch, seeing two of Kearney’s fantastic museums!
Below is a brief video slideshow created from photos taken during the Kearney stop.
On Thursday, September 14, 2017, the Rocky Mountain Region’s Cadillac LaSalle Club made a stop in their 2017 Prairie Driving Tour. Our director made sure to take some awesome photos of a few of the vehicles included in their group too. Approximately 20 people stopped by, and we were glad to have them!
On Thursday, September 7, Crane River Theater Company relocated to our building to perform their rendition of the popular drama, Driving Miss Daisy. The crowd was packed, CRT having sold out for both the Thursday and Friday night performance. They will also be doing shows on the 9th and 10th, with a matinee performance on the Sunday.
